I only came across Bruce's passing the other day. I'm a satellite-radio subscriber, so I don't listen too much to the FAN these days. What a bummer to learn of Bruce's passing. As The Fan nears its 30th anniversary as the first all-sports-radio station in the country, Bruce, along with Doris Bauer and Vinnie from Queens, will all go down as the most venerable and entertaining callers in the station's storied history. Thanks, Bruce for all of those great chimes. My condolences to his significant others, and to all of the listeners who enjoyed his phone calls.

I have nothing but wonderful memories of growing up with Bruce in nearby St. James Park in the Bronx. Sports was our addiction, playing, viewing in person and on TV, and discussing, i.e., arguing. Laughter was a major ingredient of our daily routine. That he was able to share his knowledge and humor with many others will always bring a smile to my face. If only Cleveland had won!

Have not seen Bruce in years, I was a Yankee fan and he was
a Cleveland fan, both of us from Jerome Ave. Today I went into my I pad and listened to the anniversary show of the fan . Herd
Bruce was third place caller on the fan. Put his name up my
I pad and this obituary came up . He leaves me with fond
memories of a kid from Jerome ave who was always reading
Sports magazine . Hope his brother Carl is still around Clif Buckley

Funny how this world works huh. I am upset by the loss of this man I never met. Think about it, how many calls from Bruce we all heard over the years? 1000's?. I feel like I knew this man personally. I gave up FM and went full WFAN around 1990. That's a lotta calls.
RIP Bruce, I can hear your choppy voice and your laugh as I type this. Go Tribe!!!!!

As a longtime listener of the fan I was saddened to hear about your passing. You were a mainstay and I enjoyed you're contributions to the call in shows throughout the past 25 or so years. Rest in peace and go tribe
