Dear Mr. Seiden and Family:

On behalf of the Administration, Faculty and Staff of Queens College, we would like to extend to the entire family of the late Debra Danis Seiden, our sincere condolences.

May she Rest in Peace

I have been looking all over for this wonderful photo I have of all of us at one of our birthday parties in Forest Hills.  When I finally find it I will share it with you all.  I cherish the childhood we spent next to each other.  I am sorry for all the years we weren't in contact.  And wish I had had more time with Debbie.  I am SO grateful for my and your mom for bringing us together, albeit through their funerals.  And I, like Debbie, am convinced the two of them got together and planned for me to be looking for a job and for her to find me so she could retire and enjoy some quality time with Michael.  She was everything you said she was and more and will always be an inspiration to me.  I aspire to be the woman she was.  And I thank her for bringing Jill into my life.  I love you all and am so very glad our paths kept crossing.  I am sure they will cross again on the other side.

I worked with Debbie at the MLRC for 4 years. Not only was she a loyal and dedicated business manager and a total pleasure to work with, she was truly a unique individual. She was very smart, clever, and knowledgeable about all sorts of things in the world around us, and combined that with humor, sensitivity and kindness. She had a great love for life and enthusiastically shared all that she was doing with family, on travels and around New York. (I grew up in Rego Park, so we had lots to talk about regarding the old neighborhood - Jahn's, the Trylon movie theater, and so on.)
Debbie had a special way of connecting with all sorts of people; our members loved her even though usually she was the one reminding them they hadn't paid dues or other bills - she could be  tough and sweet at the same time.  My warmest wishes, and that of all my colleagues at the MLRC, go to Jill and the whole family. George Freeman
