She was the daughter of Jacob Lowen and Minnie Ginzberg.
Edith worked as a schoolteacher for the State of New York for over 30 years before retiring. She spent the majority of her adult life in the companionship of her dear friend, Pearl Stein and whichever dog they had at the time. They leisured their time gardening at their home in Lake Carmel, or acquiring another degree from various universities. Edith moved to Myrtle Beach, SC in her later years and lived the remainder of her life there, with friends and family. She passed peacefully in her sleep on October 7th, 2021, a month after happily celebrating her 92nd birthday. Edith will be greatly missed.
