Edith Peck passed away Wednesday, June 9th surrounded by her loved ones at the Sarah Neuman Nursing home. She is survived by her daughter Shelley and her husband Clyde, her son Howard and his wife Janet, her granddaughter Jodi and her husband Peter as well as many great grandchildren. Edith was our beloved matriarch - our leader, our ”tough old bird”. Edith was stubborn, organized, intelligent and courageous. She loved fiercely, and spoke firmly, often without a filter, an advantage to her advanced age she was fond of quoting. She never liked her first seat at a restaurant and always wanted to “try something new”, but usually got the same old thing. She was a wonderful knitter, a decent mahjong player and a voracious reader. She had a connection with her great grandchildren that defied generations, and facetiming was always a gamble as to which part of her face would be in the screen. She was everything and more, and words cannot truly convey how special she was. To say that Edith was loved is an understatement. She will forever be cherished and remembered.
