Elliot Jay Simon, FACHE – passed peacefully on June 28, 2012 at the age of 72, following a long illness. He leaves behind his beloved wife Maxine (Fertel), loving daughter Joy and future son-in-law Larry Palmer, devoted step children Gerry and Joan Marie dellaBadia, Lewis and Caroline Lilla, Beth Piscitelli, cherished grandchildren JoAnn, Anthony, Richard, David, Amanda, Jessica, Alexa, Julianna, Bianca, Mario and Umberto, and his daughter Marni and her husband Greg Blake. A warm and loving man, Elliot had many friends and helped all who came his way. The courage he showed throughout his illness brought strength to us all. His greatest legacy will be the lessons taught to his extended family about trust, respect and accountability. Contributions in his honor should be made to the NYU Langone Medical Center – Cancer Center
