He was proud of his service in the U.S. Army and continued to mentor any young soldier he encountered throughout his life. Golf was both a pastime and career choice where Ellis was known for his fashionable style.
A funeral service for Ellis will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM at New Montefiore Cemetery, 1180 Wellwood Ave, West Babylon, NY 11704.
