I just read about Ezra's passing. I knew him over 20 years ago when I lived in the city and was newly single. He had a great love of life. I am so sorry to hear about his death.

Ezra was one of my finest Tango partners and dance friends. I met him the first time I went to the Practicum at the 54th street Rec Center, which was my first experience with Argentine Tango. Ezra always gave me a warm welcome. He not only danced with me at my level but always brought me a bit further along with encouragement and a complete absence of condescension, which I greatly appreciated. He also invited me to other Tango events in the city, such as the Consulate classes and the outdoor summer dances.

One could tell that Ezra was the sort of person that was there for the right reasons, not for selfishness, egotism, or any reprehensible agendas. He was sharing, caring, and exuberant - the sort of partner that made it worthwhile to come back to any event he regularly attended. I know I always went with the hope that I'd see him there, and it will never be the same again knowing he's gone. But I shall try to carry his positive influence with me, and pray that I can pass it along as well.

Ezra had this light around him, a sense of happiness, possibilities, joy of discovering the world, love of tango. He shared it with all the people around him, and I am one of many that got to experience being around him. Especially when I was on my lowest point, he shared the light, and kindness with me. For the dream, no matter it was too big, or small, he took time to listen, and always trying to help to achieve it, that meant even paddling a pink bicycle with me in the back seat, across the city of Manhattan, made the journey seem exciting adventure..
Ezra, Thank you for those spirited moments, you will be always in my heart.
I know you are in good place now, rest in peace. And my condolences to your family. God Bless.

Ezra was a wise, patient, gentle, and kind man with a wonderful sense of humor. He was full of grace and made you feel graceful. I am grateful to have known him and so glad to have danced with him. My condolences to his family for their loss.

ezra kept a wonderful gift of excitement about life's wonders.
in addition to his love for music and dance, he was an experienced cyclist and canoyer.
just last year he took the class in neuroscience, partially to be a better dancer.he wanted to explore the old classical music for tango.ezra naturally expressed music in dance. and it was his gift to me, his partner in tango ,to let me express the same music in my own way.
it is so sad he was cut off from his exiting road in life.
my condolences to ezra's family.

Ezra patiently helped me when i was afraid -- jumping rocks at the waterfalls in Kent, biking off the path in Forest Park, changing light fixtures -- he was the "just do it" guy with an enormous heart. He was the epitome of "help." His progression in dancing is a tribute to some of his fine qualities -- physical grace, kind partner, acute perception, fast learner, extreme intellect -- and celebration of life. Thank G-d for blessing us with Ezra and his eager smile on this earth, his example to have fun and enjoy so many things.

Ezra had such incredible warmth and was always willing to tame his dancing skills to agree with his partner, such as me whose "skills" were sadly lacking -- but he always made me feel like a star. I will miss his smile, his sweetness.
