Gary Kenneth Butler

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Kenneth Butler, who died peacefully on May 24th, 2025, at Long Island Jewish Hospital. He was 72 years old. Born on December 3rd, 1952, in the Bronx, NY, Gary was a true New Yorker at heart. He carried with him the vibrant energy and resilient spirit of his birthplace throughout his life. Gary will be remembered for his generous spirit, kindness, and dedication to his family. He touched the lives of many with his great sense of humor, love of fine foods, and loyalty for NY sports teams. He is survived by his brother, David, his sister-in-law, Laura, and his nephews Soren and Alex. Gary was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Eleanor Butler.

Gary’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Schwatrz Brothers- Jeffer Memorial Chapels 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills NY 11375 on May 29th 2025 at 2:00 pm. Friends and family can start arriving at 1:15 PM at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
