When I think of Grandpa, I always picture him in a button-down shirt, sleeves rolled up halfway, raybans in his pocket, slacks and a pair of loafers. Well dressed, indeed! I miss his sayings and nudging of the elbow to tell a story. I often think about him when I’m faced with a challenge and need to troubleshoot. Grandpa handled every obstacle with grace. He had the best spirit and wisdom there was to offer. He was full of life and he lives on in all of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Thank you for the years of love and guidance. 

He was a constant presence in our lives.

He taught all of his grandchildren to drive coming to our house after school to practice parallel parking.

He had a curiosity about life, asking questions, and was always quick with story.

He had principles and believed in them. He was a man, a good man.

He was also a good husband, father, grandfather and friend. 


My father-in-law, Harold Goldstein was a warm, sweet man who cared about his family, extended family and friends with all his heart and soul.  He regaled all of us with stories of his life as a soldier in WWII and we were happy that he survived that terrible time. He went on to have a beautiful  love with Dora, my mother-in-law and his two children Zachary and Harriet. It is still hard to believe that he is not with us as he was such a vivid personality.  Later in life, he found a loving relationship with Karla. His photographs hang on our walls and his memory is forever in our hearts.

I miss this man everyday. He was the salt of the earth and the funniest and smartest man I knew. Thank you for a lifetime of love and laughter. Your memory lives on through you children and grandchildren (and great grandchildren) :) 

April 21 shall stay within my memory forever since my Dad left us all on this day 2 years ago. When I think of him and  What I miss, miss is his smile the most,  he had a great smile. He was a great guy and we were so lucky to have him in our lives for 94 years. I also miss  talking to him every day. I do listen to his big band songs every morning and I think of him lovingly. 

Thanks dad for a lifetime of caring and love.....you will be remembered
eternally by you children and grandchildren !
