I am so sorry for your loss. Irving was not only a vendor of mine, but a truly great friend for more than 20 years. I so enjoyed his stories, which over the years I have heard hundreds of times, but they never got old.

In the past few years he had mentioned more than once to me that he wanted the Pheonix name to go on, and as much as I wanted to help him with that, business conditioned never allowed it.

He talked about his Grand children at length, and how so very proud he was of them, but I think his proudest moment was not so long ago when he called me from Hoboken to tell me that the Pheonix name would live on through his great grandchild.

You must be a wonderful family. He showed that not only in the way he spoke of you, but more in the way he wore that big smile as long as I knew him.

Although I will miss him terribly, we should all strive to have the fantastic life he had.  I am sure he is now bothering  Ann again in Heaven to keep the books up to date. He missed her very much.

He always told me not to say goodbye, but always to say so long. Well so long Irving til we hopefully meet again one day.
