We are all so saddened by your loss — Jon was the sweetest person! Easy to talk to, gentle and kind to all, and caring. His students were so lucky to have him as their teacher and he was so proud of his family. He will be greatly missed.

You had a Love story beyond what most people will ever experience!

Dear Estelle and family,
I am deeply sorry for your loss, it is a true loss for all of us.
Jon was a wonderful man and I truly enjoyed spending time with him. Outside of helping him with rehabilitation, I just enjoyed talking to Jon about the Mets and we always laughed about their less than glorious history.  I know that he is glad that he got to see them win in 1969 and 1986! Jon loved his family and always had glowing things to say about them. I’ll miss Jon and will always remember our time together fondly.

Jon was a wonderful person . My earliest memories are fun birthday parties at your home in dix hills and playing board games together . So much fun ! I first learned about Boggle playing with all of you and then needed my own game because of the fun I had with Jon and the family . Sending our deepest condolences and much love /hugs and strength to you all at this sad time .

We appreciated hearing  and learning about your dad, father-in-law, and grandfather, Scott, Randi and Julia.  The eulogies were very moving.  I agree with the Rabbi - Jon left as his legacy, all that we aspire to accomplish in our time here on earth. It was a beautiful tribute.

Jon was a wonderful man and a fair reasonable supervisor to the Vending Staff at Shea and Citi Field and his son Mike carries a lot of the same personality traits.  In my first month or so not knowing him he looked like he would be intimidating with his stern facial expressions  but once I worked with him more I saw someone who cared for his staff  and would enjoy joking with everyone a bit and be an absolute pleasure to be around. Would try to check in with him every homestand when he switched to the day shift in the office. When he stopped working as a checker and say hi.  My condolences to the Marshall family for their loss of a great father, husband and man.

This is so much a case of wishing I got to know him better!   The 1 or 2 times I interacted with him (I think one being his son Scott's bachelor party), it was enough to see the very best imparted onto my old friend Scottzo: a gregarious nature, sense of humor, and appreciation for friends and family around him.

I remember working with your father at Shea stadium, he was always a great man & I enjoyed working with him, he was a joy to be around, may he rest in peace. 

I remember Jon always had a smile on his face no matter what, and how he always lit up when Julia was around. 

He definitely made me feel a part of the family during the holidays. May he rest in peace. <3

Well of course I remember Jon as a colleague; however, my best memories are sitting in Jeanne Marshall’s dining room just talking about everything and nothing.  Jon had a great smile that warmed his mother’s heart.  He also had a great sense of humor.  I was fortunate to know him as a colleague, as well as the son of my best friend.  Rest In Peace Jon.
