Julius was born in Brooklyn, NY to Rose and Abe Weiner, and grew up in Freeport, NY. He proudly served as a First Lieutenant in the US Army, in Europe during World War II. He served as a Captain in the reserves.
Upon his return to Long Island, he met the love of his life, Phyllis, who he married in 1947 and with whom he spent the next 70 years. Julius was a very successful agency manager with Equitable Life Assurance, earning many awards and accolades.
His wife, Phyllis Weiner, survives Julius as well as his children Lois Gillman and Marc Weiner, his four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 on Friday, December 15 at Schwartz Brothers-Jeffer Memorial Chapels in Forest Hills, NY followed by interment at the Mount Ararat Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.
