I've been a patient of Dr Siegel's for quite a few years. I have secondary progressive MS.  I had seen  2 other doctors & neither was what I wanted or needed in a doctor.  After a while, I think we "grew on each other" & I saw a man with a dry sense of humor who had my best interests at heart. A few years ago he got the news that he had lung cancer.  He went through  chemo & he showed me what he was made of.  I saw a man with deep courage.  He must have felt horrible, but he came to work & went quietly through patients records & saw patients here & there as he was able. He returned to his usual heavy   practice, & I thought he must have beaten the cancer.....& then it returned.  More chemo & in the end, the cancer took his body, but not his soul.  When I heard he had passed on, I felt intense grief for a great doctor  & man whose life was  cut way too short.  I feel priveleged to have known him.  I send my deepest sympathies to his wife, children & grandchildre.  He told me that his wife once said that she was surprised he didn't go to bed wearing a tie & it made me smile.  I know you will be ok Mrs Siegel, but we will all miss a truly great doctor & man.  Our deepest sympathies--Bonnie & James Sandor
