My deepest sympathy to my dear friend Laurie rest in peace

Laurie was the daughter of Dorothy Honig and the late Dr. Arnold Honig.  She grew up in Little Neck, NY and graduated from Cardozo High School (class of 1978) where she enjoyed being in the chorus and from Baruch College.  In her 20s, she worked for the Marriott Corp., and in her 30s she shifted to medical billing, in which she worked most recently at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.  Laurie had a close group of friends with whom she enjoyed attending plays on Broadway.  She was an avid reader and a big Mets fan and enjoyed a hearty laugh.  Laurie bravely faced a number of health issues from her 20s on, and respiratory and kidney disease forced her to retire a couple of years ago.  She will be greatly missed by her friends, her mother and her brother, Cary.
