I write to honor Len, who was an important role model for me as a psychiatrist in training when I knew him in the '70s.  I remember visiting him and Don, and, if I remember correctly, being introduced to the late Larry Kramer.  I last saw Len at a meeting in 2024 and that twinkle in his eye was as present as it has ever been.   Rest in peace.

We were away when we heard the sad news of Len's passing.   I'll always remember his acerbic wit and forthrightness.  He often would ring our doorbell at 11P after walking Rosie (then Ruthie) because he'd forgotten his keys!  OY, Len!  In a way, I'll miss those rings.  RIP, Len.

Our deepest condolences to your family.  We will miss seeing you.  I'll treasure the memories of Len ringing my bell at 3 in the morning because he forgot his keys when he went out to walk Ruthie.  Later that day, I went out to find two dozen roses because he felt bad that he woke me up.  Len was very kind.  He gave me a lovely table many years ago.  I'll treasure it always.

Len  was a true gentleman. He was a kind man who appreciated the theater and the arts.  He shared wonderful stories and a man with great style and lasting impression.

As president of the Downing court condominium board I wish to express our sadness at the loss of our neighbor and resident Dr Leonard Rubin. He resided here for many many years. And was a friend and active participant in building matters. His dogs, Tina and Ruthie were a pleasure to meet in the hallways, the elevator, and on the street. Len’s presence will be missed.

I’ll always remember Dr Rubin as more than just my work partner — He was my daily dose of laughter, sanity, and coffee-fueled motivation. Together we tackled endless to-do lists, shared inside jokes that probably made no sense to anyone else, and somehow managed to make work feel a little less like work.
Dr Rubin had a gift for keeping things light, even on the toughest days. Whether it was a witty comment during our talks or a perfectly timed eye-roll that said it all.
His kindness, humor, and steady presence made every challenge easier and every success sweeter. I’ll miss the teamwork, the laughter, and the quiet moments when we both knew — without saying a word — that we had each other’s back. , but I’m grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every day we shared side by side.  You will be terribly missed!

A wonderful doctor who literally saved my life more than once. Doctor rubin had been my psychiatric specialist for over twenty years. I would not have made it to today if it were not for him. He will be sorely missed.

May his memory be a blessing.

Len was one one of my favorite NY personalities and clients. His support of the Brussels Griffon breed was legendary at Terrierific. I will miss our long talks and joy of his dogs. 
I am comforted he made all the efforts required to give the best life to Tina Ruthie and Jolene even from beyond Downing Street.
