Linda ‘Bo Ping’ Seid was born in China on March 1st, 1951 and immigrated to the United States where she resided in Greenville, Mississippi for a number of years before joining a nursing program in New York City. She always wanted to be a L&D nurse and she pursued this with incredible discipline. Her pursuit led to her landing a career at Beth Israel Medical Center, where she met Dr. Cuong Phan. They married on April 18th, 2013.
Linda had a huge love for dancing, art, and especially photography. After both their retirements from the medical field – Linda and Cuong spent a number of years traveling around the world and exploring new countries with friends and family – Australia, France, Germany, Thailand, Dubai, Austria, Taiwan, Norway, Russia, Brazil just to name a few! She was able to meet many who shared similar interests and connected with The Photographic Society of New York where she was really able to grow her passion and friendships. She has won several accolades for her photography.
On February 12th, 2023, after over a year long fight with lung cancer, she passed away in Long Island Jewish Hospital and was surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her mother (Ke Yi He), sister (Bowier Chou), two daughters (Ingrid and Deanna Seid) and husband (Cuong Phan).
We are incredibly sad to be without our shining star and will be missing her dearly.
A service and prayer will take place for her before the end of the visitation on Monday. Anyone who would like to say a few words is welcome to speak at that time
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.forestparkchapel.com for the Seid family.
