Born in the Bronx, Lynda lived in New York City for most of her life and was a true New Yorker, down to her endearing Bronx accent and love of ethnic food, especially the lunch special at the local Chinese restaurant. She raised her two children, largely as a single mother, to be independent and resourceful. She graduated from Queens College in NYC with a BA degree, and was especially proud of her long-standing employment as a legal assistant with the New York State Attorney General. Lynda is survived by her daughter, Merryl Hoffman, and Lynda’s son, Wyatt Gotbetter, and their spouses Robert Wolff and Deborah Gotbetter, respectively, and her grandchildren Salem, Ethan, Sarah and Amelia.
A graveside service for Lynda will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 at 1:30 PM at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, 80 Commerce Street Hawthorne, NY. Cantor Ellen Tillem to officiate.
