It’s been just over a year now since my grandfather has passed. He was a complex man with many regrets. I know that during my time with him, he’d soften and speak about how proud he was of his family. I miss how he would ogle meals on the kitchen table and ask me when I’d move back to the East Coast. Our times at IHOP were always my favorite. Love you to the moon and back, grandpa.

Dear cousin Marvin,   Rest well in heavenly green pastures. You had a wonderful life.  Great children & grandkids.  I spoke to my brother Melvin yesterday ……. he will be 101 this year.  I know u were very close to him.  
Your sure have great genes.  Your mother Dotty was 109 when she passed.  I had the pleasure of being @ her last birthday & she was still mentally alert & gave a great speech about life & longevity.
