Just wanted to say… I miss you and still think about you.

My brother, I’m heartbroken. 

There are so many memories that I’m forever grateful for. 

Mauricio has ALWAYS been the sharpest, most caring person in any room he entered. He had a heart full of empathy and such a infectious character. 

I’m so glad that I was able to serve you up another plate of my mothers cooking recently. I hope it filled your heart with the love my family had for you. 

Myself, my mother, my father and my sisters will forever remember you as that charming kid that always had an answer. 

Today you’re not with us, but you’ll forever be our hearts Mauricio. 

Mauricio was  a talented man with a kind heart, grand ambitions, and a great sense of adventure. Always thinking  about how  he could help people in need. Thank You for all of the memories and the beautiful music! You will be missed.

My dear brother -in law ,  the first day I was introduced to you by my wife you already  were offering me something to eat.   Mauricio had a genuine soul he was very kind and caring.    We didn’t hang out long enough but the times we did  was memorable.  

Brother you are truly loved by many we all mourn for you.  I know your soul is in a better place  a place of peace and love a place where you don’t have to fight anymore to be understood,  you did a great Job here on earth  your assignment from God was completed.  Please watch over your parents 
and your sisters protect them.   Love . 

A memory that plays in my head that I’ve re-enacted numerous times, even in my most recent years, is a song that ecio made for me long ago… I fixed something of his, so he hugged me and sang to me… Mikey Mikey he’s the man if he can’t do it no one cannn…lol… From that forth I always sang it in my head and most of the time around people aloud… Whenever I would fix or figure out a problem ( mainly work related ) I would sing it… It became more of a brag theme to me for getting something right…lol… Most  didn’t  know whom or where it came from but I always thought of him whenever I sang it… ecio you will forever be thought of and missed… Sleep In Peace lil bro...

I met Mauricio in 2011, he used to date one of friends and she introduced us. We hit it off right away to the point where he and my friend ended things and she was pissed that I still kept in contact with him lol. We had both started our spiritual journeys at the time and he was the only person who I could talk to about that. All my other friends weren’t at that frequency yet so they couldn’t relate. He was very special to me. Throughout the years he became more then a friend but a brother to me. I was certain that when I had kids he would be The Godfather so his passing hit me very hard. There’s not a day that goes by where I don’t think about him. Burying him has been the most traumatic experience I’ve had this far. He was the realest, kindest and most generous person I’ve come across. In 2021 when I moved back to NYC he was the only friend I had that took a train 4 hours to help me move. If that’s not love I don’t know what is. He will always hold a special place in my heart and will truly be missed. It will never be goodbye but till we meet again my dear brother, I love you so much and from the bottom of my heart thank you for everything. 

I cannot believe I lost my baby brother. Like, dad said, you were so kind and generous. Trying at times but that's what younger siblings are there for. I miss you so much. I am in so much pain, Mo! Why did you leave us. This feels like a horrible nightmare i wish to be awaken from. I am trying to be strong for the family but it is hard, my heart aches. Until we meet again! Please stay close to me and watch over your Avivah and Yaakov. We love you with everything💔🙏🏽🥺

I loved my son with all my heart which is now shattered.  Mauricio could be trying at times but he had many wonderful qualities: he was kind, always reaching out to those in need including stray animals; personable, he had a big, bright charming smile, everyone he met took an instant liking to him; he was intelligent, loved to travel, read and learn about many things; and he was generous, he raised money for charities including Greenpeace and Save the Children.  He loved his family and friends, his parents, sisters, niece, nephews and extended family.  I  cannot imagine life without him. May his generosity, caring and kindness continue to be an inspiration to us all.
