This is just heartbreaking.  I worked with Michael and he was a fellow teammate.  When I first met him, and learned of his drumming, my nickname for him was Ringo.  After all he had the hair and the nose.  As a major Beatles fan this was a term of endearment, even though at first he thought I was messing with him.  Years later I made it up to him and took him to a Paul McCartney concert.  I am so glad I got to know this wonderful person.

Michael touched so many lives with his kindness and his music.  He will surely be missed here in Arizona.  Always such a sweet, generous heart and a big smile.  It was my pleasure to work in sales with Michael for a few years.  Always a gentle-man.

It was all too sudden. Last summer I wanted to come say hello. I wish I had. This world is too brief. We all have little time it seems to say, I love you. I didn't keep in touch with you after high school, but I never forgot about you.  You always had a big smile, and you were one of the most genuine people I've ever met.

You'll be missed, Mike, because you reminded others that their lives could be happy, and be happier, knowing that you were around.

The loss of Michael leaves a huge hole in the collective hearts of so many. He left an indelible mark on the lives of musicians, friends, and family alike. The years I spent playing music with Slick will always live on as some of the most significant, creative, and just plain old fun years of my life. He is sorely missed.

Funny, happy, calm, caring, creative, man following and sharing his bliss. He touched the hearts of so many. His premature departure leaves so many in great disbelief.
I cannot believe someone so peaceful...happy...open to life was taken too soon...
I know his Spirit soars and he is with us but in a physical material world it is difficult when we are slaves to our bodies.

I'm so sorry I cannot be there to pay my respects. I met Mike in 7th Grade and have so many wonderful memories of him through Junior High and High School. We lost touch for about 20 years but reconnected on Facebook. We had talked about meeting up in May just a few weeks ago. I will always smile when I think of him and I send love to his entire family and all of his friends.

My heart is with all Michael's family and friends. You are not alone. As we grieve, may we cling to and love each other more while healing.
