Dear Vivian and Arthur, 

I cannot tell you how sorry I was to hear about Mici. I went to Flatbush and Barnard with her, was a cheerleader with her, and through it all, she was an adored friend. I moved overseas and lost touch much to my regret. 

I think I met you, Vivian a long time ago and know that she often talked about you and Arthur. I know Mici  adored you. I also met your parents who were always so warm, welcoming and kind (and your mother was so beautiful). I loved the Madeline chocolates - the soft pastel colors the taste.

Mici taught me a lot. She taught me how to be a good friend. And she taught me that when I feel sick or sad, I should dress up and look my best because it would inevitably make me feel better (which it does). She also taught me how to better respect myself and not waste time with people who were not supportive. And then there was her laugh. Ugh, it was so warm and contagious. And her eyes just sparkled.  She was dedicated to her work, to playing, and most of all to her kids. Her passing is such a loss.

I am writing because I am unable to get to Queens. But I do send you my sincerest condolences, and if this is any comfort to you, know how grateful I am to have been her friend. I will try to find photos and send them later (it will take me time to find them).

May you and your entire family find comfort among the mourners of Zion.
