Ralph was born to Joseph and Lucienne Price in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on April 22, 1945. In his early 20s, he moved to New York, where he attended the New York School of Interior Design. His love of interior design would follow him his whole career, from creating beautiful window displays at several boutiques in Manhattan, to furnishing the homes of some of the country’s most famous, to creating the ambiance of his beloved Caramba restaurants.
Ralph was a presence in any room he stood, and he lived his life unapologetically. His ability to tell it like it is, will be as missed as it was appreciated. His absence will be felt for years and years to come; the void he leaves will never be filled.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Price and Lucienne Bouchereau Price and his nephew Jonathan Duchatellier. He is survived by his brother Dannell Price and wife Ella Perpignand Price, his sister Michelle Price Duchatellier and husband Robert Duchatellier, his nephew and nieces, Thomas, Melissa, Kezia, and Cassandra, his life-partner Josef Thullner, and long-time companion and friend Paul Seaman.
