

In Loving Memory of Sandra Batres
Sandra Batres, born on November 19, 1951. In Guatemala City, embarked on a journey in pursuit of the American dream and a brighter future for her cherished children, Carlos, Alvaro, Christian, Joel, Antonio, Alejandra, and Gabriela. Their path led them to New York City in 1981, where Sandra embraced the challenges and opportunities that awaited her.
Throughout her remarkable life, Sandra wore many hats, each representing her resilience and determination. From her days as a dedicated Chocolate Factory worker, to her roles as a diligent Housekeeper and a vigilant Airport Security Guard. Sandra approached every task with unwavering commitment and integrity.
In 1996, Sandra was blessed with a remarkable opportunity to become part of the Daza family. For nearly three decades, she poured her heart and soul into her role as a nanny to Camilla, Julian, and Daniel. Sandra contributed to the creation of a loving and nurturing environment alongside Jose Luis and Leslie Daza.
Sandra was also a beloved sister to Gladys, Evelyn, Mirna, and Vinicio, her siblings who shared her journey through life.
As the years passed, Sandra's family continued to grow, and she embraced her role as a grandmother with boundless love and joy. She leaves behind thirteen adored grandchildren: Alejandro, Sofia, Byron, Lesly, Marcos, Sebastian, Lesbia, Zoe, Tyger, Camila, Alice, Lucas and Alvaro.
Sandra was also a loving aunt to her nephew Miguel, and niece Mildred and Ingrid, who held a special place in her heart.
Sandra's legacy is one of love, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished in our hearts.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Forest Park Funeral Home, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375.
