On the morning of January 31, 2022, our mom, Shirley passed on. Although she had a difficult last couple of weeks, we are comforted knowing how much she was loved by her family and friends. We are also consoled by how much love she gave them in return. Shirley was a long-time resident of Delray Beach, Florida. Shirley and her husband Irv lived in Roslyn, New York where they raised their two daughters, Ronni and Bobbi. Shirley moved to Delray Beach, Florida 17 years ago.
Shirley loved social activities. She was an avid tennis player, played canasta and Mah Jongg, and more than anything loved to dance. She could often be found on the dance floor at Gleneagles Country Club showing off her moves. She had a unique ability to find joy in the world around her. She was always ready to jump in and lend a hand when needed. She loved her yearly volunteer work with Play for Pink to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
Shirley is survived by Ronni (David), Bobbi, her sister Fran, sister Isabelle (Irwin) as well as her grandchildren Matthew (Samantha), Cassi (Matthew), Jonathan (Vickie), and Carly.
She is also survived by her devoted long-time boyfriend, Joe Hendler.
A private funeral service will be held for family on February 3 at 1:30. A zoom link will be shared for those who wish to attend the memorial virtually.

Please remember when you think of our mom:
to love fiercely, keep those you love close to you, whack the tennis ball, and dance whenever and wherever the mood strikes!
