Sookree Srinarain

Sookree married the late Nolan Nethnarayan on February 27, 1955, at New Amsterdam Berbice Guyana. Sookree and Nolan were blessed with four children. The late Lorraine Ramprasad, the late Rohini Nethnarayan, Rohan Roy Nethnarayan and Alan Nethnarayan.

Aunty Baby, Sookree was the security blanket for most of her family. She always opened her heart and her home to all of us. Her name will live on for years to come.

On August 7th, 2023, at 9:50pm our beloved angel was called to heaven. She leaves to cherish her memories: her sons Rohan Nethnarayan and Alan Nethnarayan. Her son-in-law Leonard Ramprasad and daughter-in-law Ruby Nethnarayan. Grandchildren Ann Lall, Jennifer Rampersaud, Shondell Thompson and Petal Nethnarayan. Grandson in laws Gary Lall, Hanif Russell and Erwin Thompson.

Great grandchildren Emerald Young, Dallas Lall, Joshua Lall, Micha Thompson, Erwin Thompson and Nehema Thompson.

A visitation for Sookree will be held Monday, August 14, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Park Funeral Home, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375. A committal service will occur Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 10:45 AM to 11:30 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens, NY 11415.
