Sudershan Kapur

Born under the Karachi sky on August 2nd, 1935, Sudershan Kumar Kapur was the fourth of six siblings. His presence filled every room he entered; with jokes, constant curiosity, and a thirst to learn all he could, he inspired those around him and drew them into a sprawling community of endless connections.

Ever ready with his camera in hand, he had a gift for capturing life’s precious moments - preserving memories not just for himself, but for everyone he loved.

He married Kusum Kapur, and is survived by his daughter, Renu, son-in-law, Variender; his daughter, Neeru, son-in-law, Sunil; his son, Sanjay; daughter-in-law, Neha; six grandchildren: Harshita, Nikhil, Kritika, Swati, Sagar, and Geetika; and three great-grandchildren: Anaya, Aliza, and Meher.

On November 16th, he passed peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones. While he will be dearly missed, his charismatic soul will never be forgotten.

A funeral service will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home, located at 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills, NY 11375, United States. The service is scheduled for November 19, 2025, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The service will also be available via live stream. Please see Join Live link below.
