I know Susan since August 2013. Humble soul, fun, generous, kind, full of instant humor and full of life. What a catastrophic loss to me and those who know her as I know. Still feels unreal. Not  sure whether I shall be sad for her loss or happy that she got rid of all her pains and sufferings.  May god bless her and embrace her in eternal peace.

Condolences to our cherished colleague Roy Nitzberg and his family from all of us at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College. While most of us never had the opportunity to meet Susan, we have been inspired by what we have learned about her in recent weeks, especially her efforts to bring transformative medical care to people in need. May her legacy of good work and service bring comfort to her family.
