I can't even write all the things you did for Aubrey it was no limits when it came to her. I would like to thank you for raising the love of my life Charisse. You always told me she was a tough one man you were right about that lol. As I sit here, I still can't believe this is real.  I say to myself how will I get through this, I hear you saying to me "Nothing or No one remains the same".  Where do I turn when I feel overwhelmed, lost an confused.. I will look up knowing you are right by my side.  Daddy you have been by my side since I was a little girl, where you saw daddy you saw me.  Everyone knew I was daddys girl. You have helped me mature into the women I am today.. 
I will honor you every day of my life and know on this journey called life you will watch over me.. I will continue to conquere life and make you proud..  Today we don't just honor a man, We honor a King! God gave you wings now daddy, Soar as the angel you are!

I’ve never thought I would be having to be sharing a memory rather than make more memories with my grandpa wade, he did anything and everything for me. Whether it been taking me to school and picking me up everyday, taking me on vacation to meet his side of the family, and even making sure I fulfill my passion with music because we shared such a strong connection with it. Grandpa was the only person that I allowed to call me by my middle name(Tamara) and I didn’t mind. Our last conversation was about my acceptance letter into my dream school and I could tell how proud he was of me so I’m going to continue to make him proud. I’ve lost one of the most important people in my life but best believe everything that I do will be for him. I love you forever grandpa and I’ll see you later ❤️

Wade was indeed one of the sweetest spirits I've ever known. Always greeting you with a big smile & a big hug. My fondest memories are the annual holiday parties, when he would enter dancing with joy in his feet...to be a big fellow he was super light on his feet. Life will be different knowing he's not on this planet but he will never be forgotten. RIP brother Wade.

A gentle giant, a man of few words so when he spoke I listened. I can't believe that over 40 years of friendship ended so abruptly. We didn't speak often but I always looked forward to his phone call on my birthday. We called his sayings Wadeisms. My favorites was "tell your story walking" and I will but I'll walk a lot slower knowing that he will longer be here to hear my story.

Never would I thought I would be writing this. It took me some time to even finish this note. The time that I knew you, you always treated me as family. You was a very strong person. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to be a father in my life. You were there for me whenever, wherever and for whatever! ... I can’t believe your not here with me. I miss u sooo much! .. you were so special in so many ways. There is Countless fun memories and talks we had! About cars, sports, work and Of course FAMILY! You was our GRANDPA!  I just wanna thank you for always being there and you being you! ;-)   ....you were such an amazing grandfather to Aubrey (your boogaloo)  ...she’s gonna miss you Hollywood.. Lol .. the after school pick ups , asking you to charge the phone , asking you for snacks before she goes to bed and just bursting in your room bothering you. ..there is so many things that will be missed. The house feels different without you. I love you and you will forever be in our hearts. 



You are missed. I can’t even believe I’m writing this. You was Superman to us NOTHING was suppose to be able to hurt or harm you. We expected you to live forever . To the family, extended family and friends of Wade, my wife and I offer our deepest condolences.
WW,  (as he was referred to by me and many others)and I , have been friends for almost 50 years and we’ve many shared stories and activities over the years,  that would take numerous hours to cover. He was “WW”,  and to him, I was the “Anchor Banker. 
 I could not talk about my brother without wiping a tear away from eye, so alternatively I make reference to a poem, written by an Linda Ellis,  called “How you lived your Dash”. The poem talks about the what we see on a headstone (in this case of Wade 1951) followed by a – (dash) ending with the year of death 2020. But the author focuses in on the ------  because that’s what  represents how the person lived. 
Wade’s dash was filled with love, kindness, compassion for everyone he encountered, short sentences and phases that caused you to laugh or smile, a smile and jolliness that would light a room, soulful rhythm  (that would make James Brown take notice) and a earthiness to correct you if you stepped out of line. He was really a very unique brother.
WW you will be missed, but your spirit and your sayings (which have now become mine) will be with me until we meet on the other side.

     I called him Dub, I called him WW,  I called him Richard, I even  called him Brother from another mother and sometimes I called him Pappadaddy.  He would NEVER let  me call him Wilmon. so I didn't. He called me D A, Funky Man and Richard too, that was ok with me. 
     He could be described as one very very  special man who lovingly had no problem in renaming and befriending almost everyone .  Mention his name. 

He called me his sister from another mister. Friends for over 40 years. The sweetest, kindest man ever. Always a kind word, upbeat, happy to just be in your presence. The king of good vibes. God must have been desperate for an angel. He got a good one!
His kindness, joyful spirit will be missed. Family, know that we mourn with you. There will never be another like Wade.
