He and I spent a lot of time together talking about his dreams, his desire to ignite the world, with hope and possibility. I had the fortune of coaching him about his career while he was at our graduate school - he would come into our sessions, full of questions and ideas for his future. He would always thank me profusely for our time together. His future was so bright...this breaks my heart.

I will always see his passionate face with his voice full of dreams and his huge heart full of love for the world.

I always got the feeling from Yisrael that he was genuinely interested in his fellow human being. We need more people like him to be around longer, not less. Glad to have had the opportunity to know him and learn from him for the time that he was here in this world.

Izzy was such a good person with unbelievable spirit. He was so kind and impassioned about social justice. And just enjoyed living. We really lost a good one. I had the fortune of meeting him during his time at GW in Washington DC. We worked closely together. We learned much from one another. I am was always overjoyed to get to share our life experiences with one another. He will be missed by many. Rest in Heaven,

I couldn’t ask for a better friend then yisrael. He was the smartest, kindest, strongest man I knew. Life threw curveballs and he kept hitting them out of the park. I can’t believe he is gone from this world. I know many will agree with me that their lives were changed because of yisrael; I know mine will never be the same.
I love you
I miss you
Till we meet again. I’ll be the one with the vegetable lasagna
