Charles Echota Poole Sr.

Charles attended George High School in Atlanta, Ga. Where he was educated and blessed with many great friends. He went on to further his education and training in phlebotomy.

Charles was known to his close friend and family as “Amp”. He was a loyal friend to all. He was not only a great friend but a wonderful father. He put his heart and soul into the raising of his children daily.

Tragically on June 23, 2012, he was transitioned from this earth to go home. He will be greatly missed. Charles was preceded in death by his father Melvin Derring and his Uncle Mario Merritt. He leaves behind his mother Victoria Derring: his step-mom Helen Freeman; A loving soul mate of 21 years Lisa M. Johnson; 3 Children: Charles Echota Poole Jr.; Melvin Antonio Poole and Jakiyah Kiera Poole. 5 Brothers: James Poole (Rick)(Tonya); Harry Poole (Polo)(Quintasha); Nakia Moorer (keke)(Tamika); Marcus Freeman (Pig); and Thomas Vining ( Tony). 2 sister: Billzane Starr (Gilbert); Brittaney Derring. 4 Aunts: Satira Hill; Susan White (B.J. Lopez); Rebecca Rainey (Ronald): Caron Anderson; 3 Uncles:Melvin Earl White(scooter) (Angela Kirk); William Hubert white(Sonny) and Otis Sullivant. A host of nieces and Nephews; cousins and friends. Family will receive friends at Parkway Garden Chapel between the hours of 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Friday, June 29th, 2012. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 2012 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the funeral home.
