Mrs. Gladys Olean Knowles Moody

Arrangements under the direction of Horis A. Ward - Parkway Chapel, Forest Park, GA. Gladys Olean Moody, age 92 of Atlanta, passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010. Mrs. Moody was a member of Perkinson Road Baptist Church where she attended for many years. She loved baseball and was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Moody and her daughter, Phyllis Moody. She is survived by her sons, Phillip Moody and his wife, Gale of Griffin, Pat Moody and his wife, Cindy of McDonough; 5 grandsons; 1 granddaughter; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters Martile Wright of Griffin, Vesta Ingram of California and numerous other family and friends. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Ward’s Parkway Chapel with Rev. David Tew officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park City Cemetery. Family will receive friends Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Gladys Moody was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. We appreciate the memories and will truly miss her.
