

Tamatha “Tammy” Newberry Craig, age 43 of Morrow, passed away Monday, October 11, 2010. In 1985, Tammy graduated from Hoke Smith High School in Atlanta as Valedictorian, later served in the United States Army and was a graduate of Georgia Medical Institute. She was a director of Extreme & Texas Hold ‘em Poker. Mrs. Craig was a happy, creative, outgoing individual who lived life to the fullest and loved everyone she met. Her favorite saying was “Mine, no touchy”. Tammy was anxiously awaiting the birth of her first grandchild, Shia and was already known as Gammy. Tamatha is survived by her husband, Mike Craig; mom and dad, Carolyn & Marvin Molton; sons, Marvin Edward Safady, Michael Craig; brothers, George Henry Molton, Roy Jackson (Tonya) Newberry, Jr.; sisters, Pamela Newman, Cynthia (Douglas) Morrison, Kimberly Neace; her loving father & mother-in-law, Monroe & Edith Craig; father, Roy Jackson Newberrry, Sr.; uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held, Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Horis A. Ward Parkway Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. Family will receive friends, Thursday, October 14th from 6 to 9 pm and Friday, October 15th from 9 am to 9 pm at the funeral home. Tammy was a loving wife, daughter, mother and sister. She was called, best friend by her mom and dad. Her family is thankful for the wonderful memories she created and pledges Shia will know the love of Gammy.
