Anna (Durand) Talbot (nee Cenerini), 80 years of age passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at the Atikokan General Hospital surrounded by her 4 children. Anna was born on September 16, 1938 in Cardinal, Manitoba to Auguste and Emelia Cenerini. She is survived by her brother Emile Cenerini, sisters Marie Durand and Denise (Pete) Badiou and sister-in-law Gail Cenerini. Her siblings Thérèse (André) Talbot, Rita (Leopold) Talbot and Albert Cenerini along with brother-in-law Roger Durand and sister-in-law Agnes Cenerini predeceased her.
She married André Durand and settled in Thunder Bay before moving back to Atikokan in 1964. André predeceased Anna in December 1978.
Anna worked at the TD Bank for over 25 years after bartending at the Rockton Hotel and the Steep Rock Hotel. Before that she waitressed at Lee’s Chinese Restaurant.
In 1998, Anna moved to Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba and married André Talbot. André predeceased Anna in October 2000.
Anna was a lifetime member of the Catholic Women’s League. Her passion was feeding people; she loved to bake, to cook and to read new recipes. She was a lifelong card player and loved to crochet.
She is survived by her children, Guy (Christine), Lionel, Lyette (Russell), Andre (Allison); grandchildren Nicolas, Alyson (Grayhm), Sarah, Olivia, Noah, and Izabella and great grandchildren Owen and Luca, along with numerous stepchildren, God children, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at the St. Patrick Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick Church Renovation Fund, P.O. Box 160, Atikokan, ON, P0T1C0.
