Annie Kilbreath

Obituary of Annie Kilbreath
It is with great sorrow that the family of Annie Kilbreath announces her passing on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at the Atikokan General Hospital.

She was born on July 6, 1922 in New Milnes, Scotland. She grew up in Scotland and as a young woman she was working in a local shop. It was here that she met George Kilbreath. They were married in 1945 and she came to Canada as a War Bride. They started in Fort William before going to Cloud Bay and finally settling in Atikokan in 1955. Annie was a very active member of the community as a member of the Riverview UCW, Moose Lodge, teaching Sunday School, helping with holiday events in the community. She also worked at Freeman's Camp for many years; at the Beanery at the CNR for several years and did some tree planting. She loved to sing, write poetry and spend time with her grandchildren.Annie was predeceased by her parents; husband George and daughter Georgina.

She leaves behind her children Anna (George) Bliss; Heather (Stephen) Bennett, Lynda Kilbreath, Malcolm (Candy) Kilbreath, Shirley Gallinger (Brian) and Cindy (Randy) Clark; grandchildren Allan and Neil (Rebecca) Bliss, Lisa Gallinger (Don), Michelle (Maurice) Metail, Jason and Trevor Clark; great grandchildren Amy, Britany, Eric, Brennan, Sara, MacKenzie, Joshua and Jackson and great great grandchildren Hadley and Bentley.

Cremation has taken place and due to COVID 19 Restrictions a private family graveside service will be held.
