It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Edith Rawlins announces that she was peacefully promoted to glory (passing) on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Rainycrest Long Term Care in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Edith was born on July 27, 1927 to John and Florence Rawlins in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She moved across Canada to Vancouver, BC in 1945 pursuing a career as a teacher. She taught in the Anglican Church as well as Elementary Schools in Ontario, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Edith married the love of her life Rev. William Giovetti on June 28, 1952 with whom she traveled and served the Lord. They moved to Rainy River, Ontario in 1994 and then to Fort Frances in 2000 where they settled into retirement. She was the Corps Sergeant Major (CSM) of The Salvation Army Corps and an active member of St. John's Anglican Church, where Rev. William served as an honorary assistant before his passing in 2011.
Edith will be missed by all those who deeply loved her, including her sister Barbara (David); Church Members of The Salvation Army, friends and those who were around her the last days of her life.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Edith's life will be held this summer.
