Elizabeth Lucy Kapac

Elizabeth was born in Fort Frances in 1924 to Ann and George Demetruk and lived in the area all of her life. She was predeceased by her sister Ruth Colvin and brother William Demetruk.

She is survived by her son Gary (Janet) Kapac of Toronto, Ontario and her brother George of Lompoc, California, as well as several cousins, nieces & nephews.

During WW II she served with the RCAF Woman’s Division, including briefly serving overseas. The majority of her working career was spent performing secretarial duties with Boise Cascade.

Elizabeth had a variety of interests and led an active life caring for her house and garden, doing handicrafts and volunteer work. She was always learning new things and loved to travel.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the various medical and support services staff in Fort Frances for their excellent care of Elizabeth over the past couple of years. The support and help provided by family and friends is also very much appreciated.

At Elizabeth’s request a private service will be held.
