

Fred was born on Monday, June 15, 1936 in Fort Frances, Ontario where he had lived all his life. He was a member of the Employee’s Assistance Program at the local paper mill for years and a proud member of the EAP local mill. He was also a member of the Mental Health Board for many years and served on the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army. He enjoyed the time he spent volunteering with the Mental Health Association and the Salvation Army. He also enjoyed the time he spent working in the yard and the time he spent at the lake with his wife Winnie. He loved the fun times spent with family and his coffee friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Winnie, and children Karla (Jeff) of B.C., Micheal of Winnipeg, Dale Miller (Rick) of Thunder Bay and John (Mable) of Fort Frances, stepson Christopher Sinclair and stepdaughter Amber Sheloff. Also surviving are grandchildren John Jr. and Jennifer Ducharme (Rob) great grandchildren Kiersten and Peyten and Alexis, Kalina and John III, numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, raised by step-father Hubert Medhurst, brother Doug (Lois) Medhurst of Fort Frances, sisters Pat Whalden of B.C., Claudia (Dan) Butler of Morden, MB, dear friend Natalie Marquis and his many other friends.
Fred was predeceased by his wife Patricia on February 28, 2012, his parents Frederick and Mary Grozelle and grandson James Grozelle.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 15th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Frances.
A luncheon will be held following the graveside service at the Fort Frances Evangelical Covenant Church, 1027 Kings Highway in Fort Frances.
