

She was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Sunday, October 18, 1914. After finishing business college there, she moved to Fort Frances, Ontario where she met her husband Donald (Pat) Carmody. They were married for 46 years until his passing in 1981.
She kept busy with many things in her life, volunteering for 35 years at LaVerendrye Hospital where she did hairdressing. She loved to knit and do crossword puzzles. She was very proud of her trophies from years of bowling and was also an avid animal lover.
Left to cherish her memories are her four children, Glenn (Judy) Carmody, Patsy (Fred) Boustead, Laurel (Gerald) Langtry, all of Fort Frances and Bonnie Mayne of Winnipeg, Manitoba, one brother Fred (Joyce) Paske and one sister Emily Hansen. Also surviving are her eleven grandchildren, Sandy (Paul), Mel (Tana), Pat (Jenn), Mark (Kristine), Blair (Diane), Leta (Ray), Glenn, Mike (Susan), Randy (Yvonne), Karen, Lisa and Sherri, 14 great grandchildren; Sydney, Hailey, Bryce, Craig, Cody, Jesse, Miranda, Carly, Donny, Jodi, Robyn, Taylor, Jillian and Kelsey, two great great grandchildren Ryder and Sylas, several nieces and nephews, special friends Dana, Ken, Sheila, and numerous other friends. Her grandchildren have great memories of all the time she spent with them.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John’s Anglican Church in Fort Frances with Father Wayne McIntosh officiating. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances.
The pallbearers will be Grace’s grandsons, Mark and Blair Boustead, Randy Carmody, Mel and Pat Langtry and Paul Sullivan.
