I remember when you crashed Rich's motorbike by fair ave and broke your leg and where in traction for a while those were the days of writing letters. I also remember your Gram . And of course I remember you being cocky!  Always thought I'd get another chance to hang out with you..

I am so incredibly sorry that he is gone! My memories of my youth are so connected to him. Great guy,  cool dude, such an outstanding person.  I got to see him just this summer and feel blessed I had that time! Gone too soon! He will be missed!

I bid you a sad farewell. I will always remember your genuine demeanour and kind heart. I will cherish the way you made me laugh and the fun times we shared. I will forever smile when reflecting on our youth and the memorable weekends we spent driving my dad’s three wheeler in our backyard.

I am broken-hearted.  Jay and I have known each other for 47 years.  There was a time when we didn’t see each other or speak to each other, but when we reconnected, it was like no time had passed. We still visit when I am in the Fort and text each other often.  We were going to go for pizza next week when I am there.  He used to always ask me to bring fried chicken for him when I came and I thought that was so funny.  When we texted, instead of goodnight, we would type “gunfight” because of an autocorrect error when we first started texting. 
Jay was a thoughtful, kind, deep man who really wanted the world to be a better place.  He wished for a life that had love and kindness, where people treated the earth with respect. He was one of my best friends and I miss him so much already. We have lost a beautiful person. Gunfight, Jay. I will keep trying to make the world a better place.
