Jean Kawulia

It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Kawulia announces her passing on Wednesday September 23, 2020. Jean was born on April 14, 1935 in Fort Frances, ON to Clifford and Myrtle Williams. She lived in Fort Frances all her life. She was united in marriage to William Kawulia on June 11, 1955 and together they raised 4 girls. She was an awesome mom as well as being an active member of Knox United Church, Order of Royal Purple and enjoyed curling. She was always baking and regularly donated her goodies to the churches and fundraising groups. She was a generous person who would help anyone. One to keep busy, Jean worked in various businesses in Fort Frances working until the age of 83. She leaves behind her daughters Jane (Chuck), Jennifer (Stuart) and Cathy; grandchildren Karen, Elizabeth (Garrett), Daniel (Shawna), Justine (Billy), Dylan, Ashley and Lizzie; four great grandchildren; in-laws Peter, Nick, Ed, Jessie; special sister-in-law Lorraine; niece Jodi and her lifelong friend Wilma McCabe. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her parents Clifford and Myrtle; husband William; daughter Carol; son-in-law Delbert; siblings Ross, Beryl and Bill and in-laws Metro, Helen, Alice and Joan. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at the Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances, ON. If friends so desire in memoriam donations may be made to the Knox United Church Renewal Fund, 340 Church Street, Fort Frances, ON, P9A 1E1.

I just heard about Jean’s passing , my condolences to the whole family. Jean & I both started the same day @ Walmart. I loved her personality and grace, she was thoughtful caring &always had good advice very friendly to everyone.
