Jim Shortreed

Jim was born on April 11, 1948 to Vernon and Mary Shortreed. Jim lived in Fort Frances all his life, working at the Shortreed Mill with his parents. He was known for his keen work ethic and his talent with a chainsaw. After retiring his days were spent tinkering with his tools, fixing and modifying many projects While Jim never married and had a family of his own he was blessed to have very close relationship with his niece Jo and her family. They were very special to each other, he was especially fond of his great neice and nephew Bella and Landen.

He is survived by his sister Shirley and husband Steve Buttner; nephews Lance (Becky) and Larry (Pamela) Buttner; niece Jo (Ken) Olson and their families.

Jim was predeceased by his parents Vernon and Mary.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held at a later date.
