June P. Keddie

February 18, 1929 – May 20, 2022
Obituary of June P. Keddie
June Patricia Keddie, age 93, of Fort Frances, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2022 in Laverendre Hospital.

June was born England to Ernie and Irene Bartram on February 18, 1929. She married James Robert Keddie. She was involved in many charity organizations. Having survived breast cancer twice, the relay for life was one of her favourites. She also received the Citizen of the Year award in 2005 and

others too numerous to list.

June was preceded in death by mother Irene Bartram, husband JamesKeddie and son Michael Keddie.

June is survived by daughter Geraldine (Edward), grandson Joel Taylor (Christine) and granddaughter Amy Taylor, great grandsons Robert Nelson and Jarred Taylor, great granddaughters Samantha (James) Thomas, Rebecca Armit and Tatum Nelson, great great grandaughter Blaire Thomas.

The family would like to personally thank Dr. Nugent and the caring staff at LaVerendrye for having made her final months comfortable. Also we would like to thank Sandy McKinnon, Anne Zucchiatti for their extra special attention. Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop in and visit, and drop off

goodies (and champagne) for her to enjoy.

On March 16, 2022 there was a great article printed in the Fort Frances Times about her life. Thank you to Merna for writing this wonderful story.

Don’t think of her as gone away, her journey’s just begun

Life holds so many facets, this earth is only one.

Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears

In a place of warmth and comfort where there are no days or years.

Think how she must be wishing that we could know today

How nothing but our sadness, can really pass away.

And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched

For nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.
