Katherine "Katy" Lengyel

On September 24, 2011 our beloved Wife, Mother, and Grandmother unexpectedly yet peacefully passed away in her sleep at home at Nickel Lake. She was born on March 12, 1943.

She married Wayne (Clyde) Lengyel on August 12, 1964 and later moved to Nickel Lake where they raised their five children, Andy (Kelly), Cheryl (Bob), Tammy (Kevin), Wayne Jr. (Toni) and Jason (Joanne). She was a devoted grandmother to: Samantha, Ashley, Jacklynn, Tessa, Matthew, Tracyn, Colton, Ethan and Shay. She loved them all.

Katy was employed at Rainycrest, The Red Dog Inn and lastly LaVerendrye Hospital until she retired. Katy was well known for her hospitality and incredible cooking. You were always made to feel welcome and never left her house hungry. Katy loved entertaining at the lake and watching nature from her deck.

She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome to join us in a celebration of life for Katy at the house at Nickel Lake, Fire #2593 on Highway 11 starting at 1:00 p.m. on Friday September 30, 2011.
