

Kathryn lived in Dauphin, Manitoba until 1950. She then moved to Winnipeg attended U of M and received a degree in home economics. She enjoyed playing on the university basketball team.
Kathryn met the love of her life Van Green on a blind date and they married in 1954 and made their home in Fort Frances.
Kathryn loved being a homemaker, entertaining family and friends, cooking, sewing and working on her many many family photo albums. Her grandchildren were very special to her as their photos decorated her walls at Rainycrest. Kathryn and Van also shared the love of travel, going to many countries around the world.
Left to cherish her memories are her children David (Karen), Bob (Lori) and Kathy Bogacki (Bruce). Also surviving are her seven grandchildren Travis (Joanna), Jason (Alissa), Mitchell, Morey, Britton (Sarah), Jessalyn and Joel.
Kathryn was predeceased by her parents Alex and Elizabeth Oliphant, her husband Van Green and infant son Henry David Green. Van’s parents Rusty and Signe Green, sister Betty and Norm Dixon and brother-in-law Yvon Chamberland.
Kathryn is also survived by her brother David Oliphant (Diane), sister-in-law Nancy Green, brother-in-law Dr. Robert Green (Helen) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathryn belonged to the ACW of St. John’s Anglican Church, Kinnettes, Ladies Curling Club and volunteered at the LaVerendrye Day Hospital.
Celebration of Kathryn’s life will be held at Rainycrest on Monday, August 17, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Diane Clifford officiating
