Keith Gabriel Perrault, age 64 years of 1212 First St. E., Fort Frances, Ontario, passed away at his residence on Thursday, September 20, 2012.
He was born June 26, 1948 on Rainy Lake, Ontario to the late Louis and Rosemary Perrault. Keith grew up on Banning Lake Road. He guided in the area, taught at Mine Centre School, and had also built houses in Red Gut Bay. Keith later met Mary and together they raised their family. Keith loved boating on the lakes, traveling and exploring the countryside. He also enjoyed riding his electric scooter. The most important thing in his life was spending time with his kids. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Keith leaves behind his two sons, Keith Perrault Jr. (Alexis Anderson) of Fort Frances, ON., Rick Perrault (Sherry Lynn Dubois) of Winnipeg, MB.; two daughters, Nicole Jourdain, and Dawn Jourdain (Tobias Alleman) all of Fort Frances, ON.; step daughters, Denise Audette (Kevin), Christine Borden (Troy) and Amanda Perreault (Ian); grandchildren, Robyn, Shania, Claira, Gabriel, Ayla, Brittany, Kierra, Logan, Austin, Travis, Summer, Naudia and Claire, Chelsea, Christian, Jordan, Alexis, Kaidence, Harlow and Chiles, Dylon and Kinsey; and one great grandchild, Kylea. Also surviving are four brothers, Jerry Perrault of Ottawa, ON., Leslie Perrault of Toronto, ON., Sidney Perrault of Superior, Wisc. and Darryl Perrault of Thunder Bay, ON.; one sister, Eleanor Lockman of Fort Frances, ON. and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one son, Preston Perrault; one brother, Ted Perrault; and two sisters, Darlene Perrault and Joanne Moore.
A wake was held on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 2 until 4 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario.
A traditional service will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation Gymnasium with Elder Harry Windigo officiating.
Cremation will follow, with interment in Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation Cemetery at a later date.
Active and honourary pallbearers will be his family and friends.
