Mervyn Bradley Caul

Mervyn Bradley Caul, 55, of Devlin, Ontario passed away at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances on Tuesday February 18, 2014. He was born on July 21, 1958 in Fort Frances, Ontario and had lived in the Rainy River District most of his life.

Following high school, Brad worked with Dr. Robert Stinson as a chiropractic assistant and in 1984 became a registered Reflexologist, Deep Muscle Therapist. He later became certified as an Orthodic Fitter. Following Dr. Stinson’s death, Brad operated Brad’s Body House in Fort Frances at several locations. Later, Brad worked as a long haul truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He also worked in the bush as a private contractor and most recently worked with his brother Ross cutting and selling firewood.

Brad loved horses and was a wonderful rider and trainer and participated in many July 1 parades, trail rides, and horse shows.

The family includes his daughter Cheyenne Caul Kennedy of Kenora, ON., mother Rosanna DeGagne-Tweedie and husband Earl of Devlin, ON., five brothers Lorne Caul and wife Bonnie of Alberton Twsp., ON, Martin and Michael Caul of Devlin, ON., Ross Caul and wife Virginia of Fort Frances, ON., and Leslie Caul and wife Erin of Devlin, ON., one sister Lissa and husband Mark Marchuk of Rainy River, ON., two stepbrothers Robert Tweedie of Scarborough, ON. And Mark Tweedie of Devlin, ON., one stepsister Leslie Bell and Andrew “Beeker” Watson of Devlin, ON., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Brad was predeceased by his father Mervyn Caul on June 16, 1984 and niece Elizabeth Marie Caul on May 31, 1984.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances with Father Victor DeGagne officiating. Cremation has taken place with interment to take place in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
