Patrick Michael Steinke

Pat was born in Fort Frances, ON on June 2, 1964 to Jack and Arleen Steinke. He leaves behind his partner and special friend Sherri Calder and her children Tyler, Braeden and Jaelyn Levert as well as his father Jack Steinke; siblings Robert (Gaye), Tammy (John) and Jeffery (Janice), nieces and nephews Meredith, Corey, Jaclyn, Jonathan(Nicci), Carly and Taylor. As well as great nieces Nora and Josie.

He was predeceased by his loving mother Arleen Steinke and special aunt Roberta Jeffery.

Pat grew up on Rainy Lake and graduated from Fort Frances High School. He attended UM Duluth from 1982 to 1986 taking Industrial Education and Engineering Technology.

He had a nomadic spirit and moved around frequently in the U.S. and Canada throughout his life, working in business management and sales. Pat resided in Thunder Bay, ON with Sherri and her kids and worked at Halfway Motors Nissan from 2012-2019.

Pat loved spending time on the lake in his boat fishing and camping with his family, friends and his dog Jake. He had a passion for cooking, music and sports, especially football as he played in high school and college. He enjoyed his kid’s sports and travelling with them for their sports and many leisure trips.

His smile and laughter will forever be in our hearts.

Rest in Peace beloved son, brother and friend.

Until we meet again, we know you are gone fishing.

Cremation has taken place in Thunder Bay, ON.

A celebration of life in memory of Pat will be held by family and close friends at the lake in Fort Frances, ON in August.
