Rebecca Sweigard

Becky was born on August 3, 1951 in Fort Frances, ON to Bo and Muriel Readman. She grew up here, splitting her time between Fort Frances and Mine Centre. As a young woman she set out to explore, during her time in Eastern Ontario she met Larry Sweigard, they lived together for several years in Southern Ontario before returning home in 1984, with their two children, to Mine Centre. She ran the Mine Centre store for many years. She was always there early; making sure the coffee was on for the first customer of the day. She made many friends over her years at the store. Becky loved to cook, especially Chinese food, She loved to collect wind chimes and go camping and fishing with her family. She enjoyed warm beer and hot chocolate and adored her grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Larry; daughter Jessica and husband Justin Demchuk; son Matt Sweigard and wife Andrea; grandchildren Aleksandr, Kathyrn and Izabella; sister Pat and husband John Coberg; brother Jerry Readman and wife Arlene as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Becky was predeceased by her parents Bo and Muriel; brother Kenneth Readman and sister Dorie and her husband Harold Dennis.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
