Richard "Rick" Lakatos

He was born January 22, 1951 in Emo, ON.

On October 6, 1973 Rick was united in marriage to Joan Shaw.

Rick retired in March 2005, after 36 years employment at "The Mill"

He loved fishing, snowmobiling, music, dancing and his life at his cabin. He especially loved his time and activities with his three beautiful girls.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Joan Lakatos. His daughters Tara & husband Chris Pieczko, Mindy & husband Jeremy Taschuk, Paige & husband Rich Smith. Grandchildren Cristian, Jacob, Brennen, Miss Ava and Rikki; Sister Diana Lynn & husband Raymond Larocque and several nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Lakatos & mother, Lucille (Legros) Lakatos.

At Rick's request there will be no funeral service.

A family graveside service was held on Monday, July 22, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Riverview Cemetery in Fort Frances with Jane Trivers officiating. Inurnment followed in the J.A. Mathieu Columbarium.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in care of Green Funeral Home, Box 427, Fort Frances, Ontario P9A 3M8 or donate blood in memory of Rick.
