Rudy Whitecrow, 45, of Seine River First Nation passed away surrounded by family on Monday, February 5, 2018 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Rudy was born on December 8, 1972 in Fort Frances, ON to Andrew Morrison Jr. and Cecilia Whitecrow. After their passing in 1974 he was raised by his Aunt Doris Willie. He worked for various companies doing highway construction, welding, roofing and carpentry. He enjoyed fishing and attending Pow-wows.
He leaves behind his daughters Lindsey Whitecrow and her daughter Adyson Yeomens, Keisha Whitecrow; son River Whitecrow-Spoon; aunt Doris Willie; cousins Lorraine Derman (Mark), Darlene Whitecrow, Sheldon Whitecrow (Shirley Snowball), Ringo Whitecrow (Phyllis Gustafson), Camilla Whitecrow; aunts and uncles Celina Whitecrow (Norman Gerard), Howard Whitecrow, Judy Bird, Sue-Ann Whitecrow (Rob Pringle) and Annie Wayash (Bill) and their families; numerous cousins from the Morrison and Whitecrow families; mentor John Beaton and great grandmother Evelyn Morrison.
Rudy was predeceased by his parents Cecilia and Andrew; grandparents Joe Sr. and Irene Whitecrow, Leonard Whitecrow and Andrew Morrison Sr.; aunts and uncles Joe Whitecrow Jr., Jane Morrison, Roy Morrison Sr. and Doyle Morrison.
A private family service will be held.
